DIMENSIONS

In this series of self-portraits, photography becomes the language that translates a journey into the depths of the self. Taken with a Rolleiflex f 5.6/60 camera and worked in black and white through darkroom development, each image captures the transition between life and mystical death. The tulle skirt, present in each self-portrait, symbolizes a path of transformation. In the beginning, its white and neutral color reflects the purity of the start, like a blank page, an open space for knowledge.

As the series progresses, the skirt changes, just as the soul of the artist does in her constant search. Each technical intervention on the fabric — a process as manual and detailed as the spiritual journey itself — reinforces the connection between the fleeting nature of existence and the eternity of awakening. These photographs are the echo of an awakening, where each image becomes a mark of the passage of time and internal transformation.
