ARTIST PROFILE

Mithea D. is a Hispanic-Moroccan transdisciplinary artist whose work merges poetry, performance, and visual arts in a deeply introspective and mystical journey. Influenced by Sufi philosophy and the contemplation of the everyday, her work is a continuous exploration of the divine within the earthly. Her artistic trajectory reflects a spiritual and creative metamorphosis—an odyssey of the soul towards the essence of the absolute.

Since 2008, she has navigated diverse artistic identities, experimenting with multiple languages and disciplines to express the complexity of her inner quest. In 2023, following a period of introspection and transformation, Mithea’s Wonderland was born—an essential milestone in her journey, a space where wonder and awe become the guiding forces of her creation.

Her art embraces visual poetry, sound poetry, and action poetry, drawing spectators into a universe where the ephemeral gains meaning and the ordinary is infused with magic. Through installations, interventions, performances, and sensory experiences, Mithea invites audiences to pause, observe, and feel with an open heart.

Her work has been exhibited in cultural institutions and festivals, earning recognition for its ability to transform the simple into the extraordinary, revealing beauty in what often goes unnoticed. Her creative universe serves as a bridge between the human, the spiritual, and the natural, where the fragility of the moment becomes eternal.
